 Dr. Shay Lykins
grew up in Clayton, Georgia where she
enjoyed spending time on Lake Burton with her
family and friends. She attended the University
of Georgia for her undergraduate degree, a BS in
Biology, and received her Doctor of Dental
Medicine from the Medical College of Georgia. Her commitment to providing
the finest dental care possible is stressed in the prevention
and early detection of problems which need qualified treatment.
Professional memberships include: Georgia Dental Association,
American Dental Association, and Northwestern District Dental
Society. She is a member of the Cherokee Study Club, a group of
dentists whom are committed to the continual advancement of
their education. She is also active in the Rotary Club of Gilmer
County and a member of the First United Methodist Church of
Ellijay.
Dr. Lykins has been practicing dentistry in Ellijay since 2002
when she and her husband, Larry, moved to this close knit
community. They have three wonderful children.
